Matthew 24:4-5 “And Jesus answered and said unto them, 'Take heed that no man deceive you. For man shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many'”
How many times have we seen people follow after someone as if they were Christ? Remember Charles Manson? He not only had people following him back in the day, but folks born after his “reign” take him up as someone to worship. How about Jim Jones and The so-called “Peoples Temple?”
How many are this day following others with the same self-centered philosophy? Not only religious leaders, but musicians, politicians and actors, to mention a few.
Avoid anyone who tells you to “follow me.” A prophet of God will always tell you to “follow Christ.”
